Mug Shot

I love salads. All. Year. Long.

Summer time just makes them better.

Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, lemon juice and a huge knife are all you need. Yum.

Salad also tastes best when the veggies look like a cat.

It’s super cute, right?

Also, bad news, I relapsed on my coffee cut back. I’ve returned to 5 cups a day. I’m so disappointed in myself. I’m right back where I began.

More Cake And More Paintings

Is there any better way to celebrate your 51st birthday than with strawberry cake and spending the day packing, storing and moving everything two girls own? The answer is yes, of course. I’m very grateful to my father and my second father for helping me move. This awesome flamingo cake was a birthday/thank you cake.

The semester is over!

Now I have even more time to paint.

This painting of a bag of coffee didn’t take very long to finish at all. I may have spent around 2 or 2 1/2 hours at the most.

Hydration And Education

So I somehow accidentally bought three cases of Snapple. Not to point fingers but, I blame Kaitlynn Floyd.

Now with three fruity flavors and 18 new pieces of information I feel hydrated and a little smarter. With exams next week I’ll take all the knowledge I can get.

Did you know:

The average lead pencil can draw a line 35 miles long or write roughly 50,000 English words.

The only jointless bone in the body is in your throat.

On average a man spends about 5 months of his life shaving.

While on the subject of hydration, I’ve recently learned that coffee dehydrates your body.

In The Zone, Eating A Scone

Kayla Keeney could be the best person to live with. She loves to cook and bake. I love to eat and blog. We really do have a great partnership.

Today she entered the apartment around 2:30 with three large bags full of groceries and started listing everything she planned to make with them.

By 3:00 we had 12 fresh scones cooling on our countertop.

A mixed berry scone, a cup of coffee, good company and cool weather: it’s been a nice day.

Make A Shopping List

I was forced to eat a stale granola bar for breakfast.

There is no food in my house. I desperately need to go to Wal-Mart, otherwise I’ll have no lunch and I’ll starve, leading to my death, which means the end of this blog.

But good news- Tom Thumb is selling coffee for only 63¢

Cupa Tea

If you haven’t seen Scott Pilgrim vs. The World yet, then you should go see it.

I’m not going to go on to rave or write a review of the movie, but there was a part in the movie that reminded me of my own food pantry.

I have an unhealthy addiction to coffee, however, I also love tea. Through the course of a day I’ll probably have two to three cups of coffee and one or two cups of tea.

I like to stay hydrated.
