You know how the song goes… right? Well I guess that song doesn’t mirror my college life anyhow, other than the fact that the singer loves college.
It’s really is great to be a Florida Gator. I love everything on campus from the historic buildings to the automated moving shelves in the libraries.
Now that I’m back to fending for myself I’m either eating super healthy or I’m eating, well, Moe’s. I can’t stay away from it. Not only does Moe’s have those fancy new Coke dispensers, but it also attracts all the champions. I love seeing Olympic competitors and UF athletes around campus and Gainesville. The first time I ate at Moe’s this semester my friends and I saw one of the gymnasts.
I have also recently joined a Christian sorority (Theta Alpha). This is something I never thought I’d do. Large groups of girls isn’t really my thing, but I love all of these girls. Plus they give me cookies.
Guess who learned how to make vegetables unhealthy? Me. It took a trial and error process to work out the kinks and get it right. Fried zucchini!
One more thing; despite my efforts to not give in to being a part of social media (Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, ect.) I have become an avid user of Spotify. The second I heard Bob Boilen mention it on NPR I was all over it. http://open.spotify.com/user/autumnmccurdy <CHECK IT YO

I love salads. All. Year. Long.
Summer time just makes them better.
Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, lemon juice and a huge knife are all you need. Yum.
Salad also tastes best when the veggies look like a cat.
It’s super cute, right?
Also, bad news, I relapsed on my coffee cut back. I’ve returned to 5 cups a day. I’m so disappointed in myself. I’m right back where I began.

I finished one of my first colour oil paintings. The subject: food.
I know that during winter you are supposed to eat a lot of soup and hot chocolate, in fall you eat turkey, pies, and cider, and for summer it’s citrus and ice cream.
But what should I be eating in the spring?
Seriously, someone tell me.
This is an example of a summer food and, even though I associate citrus with the hot weather, it’s in season basically all the time here in Florida.

Raise your hand if you have ever procrastinated. I don’t care if you’re in public. Just do it, it makes life more fun.
There are plenty of things I should be doing. These include cleaning, school work, church work, finishing a painting and grocery shopping. Instead I’m playing with my food and blogging.
All week long the weather has been beautiful. I really thought Gainesville would get through an entire week without rain for the first time this semester.
And then I walked outside this morning. I mean it wasn’t like I was walking through 3 foot deep puddles, but still. I just want one week where my hair isn’t affected by humidity.

I love Christmas presents. In particular I love my face place, it makes blogging easier. And it makes lunch more fun.
My lovely roommate, Kaitlynn and I had lunch together: the best mac n’ cheese in the world and tons of green beans. Note the sweet Harry Potter house cups.
